Why intention matters

You can do anything, but not everything. — David Allen

Intention must accompany any change you want to be sustainable.

That is especially true for those of us seeking new ways to care for ourselves, to heal ourselves, to become a new ‘us’…

And because learning to work with each season’s unique energies is a powerful way to practice self-care, and because the more you know, the better you can do. This most definitely applies to the way you care for and love yourself!

I’ve been intentionally learning and integrating lessons on self-care for over 10 years. It hasn’t always been easy to care for myself in healthy, proactive ways. Actually, much of the time it’s been hard as hell. I was in my late 30’s before I truly began to integrate positive self-care practices into my life. Nearly forty years of programming and habits do NOT disappear overnight. Lifelong habits like putting others first, pushing myself harder and farther than my body can safely go, and using unhealthy coping mechanisms have required my intentional and compassionate focus to begin healing. And, thankfully, I’ve still got plenty of room for healing, growth, and improvement left!

Self-care is a game-changer.
