Aren’t All Dogs Kinda Therapy Dogs, In Their Wonderful Doggy Way?
Not officially of course, but they sure help us make it through

Earn the trust of a dog and you’ve got a friend for life.
Sadly, dogs don’t live nearly long enough lives, but they will be loyal and true until their last breath.
And, yes, dogs can love humans.
Once we earn that trust and love…
According to the American Heart Association:
Dog owners have better results after a major health event.
The studies found that, overall, dog owners tend to live longer than non-owners. And they often recover better from major health events such as a heart attack or stroke, especially if they live alone.
And, according to NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness):
Dogs can contribute to your happiness. Studies show that dogs reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and improve your all-around healthMy life is so much richer, fuller, and funnier because I share it with my dog.
She’s a goof.
She’s loyal and sweet and absurdly gross in the things she’ll eat if we let her AND she has my back just as much (if not more!) than I’ve got hers.

If you are lucky enough to live with a dog or dogs, go give them some extra scritches and an “I love you” right now.
It’ll do you both good.
