Jill Duggar Has Every Right to Her Anger And So Do You
Sexual Assault Survivors Anger is Powerful and Justified

Jill Duggar Dillard, in an interview with People magazine:
“People are quick to say, ‘Oh, anger is bad,’ but I’m like, ‘No, anger can be a good thing.’ Especially when it propels you to advocate for people finding their voice.”
And you know what?
She’s right.
And do you know what else?
All survivors of sexual assault and other sexual betrayals have every right to their anger.
Every.damn.right.
Being angry doesn’t make a survivor bad, or vindictive, or petty — it makes them human.
Being angry doesn’t make them stuck in the past — it makes them human.
Being angry doesn’t mean they are ‘holding a grudge’ or ‘playing the victim’ — it makes them human.
No one has the right to objective another person for their sexual pleasure.
Survivors of such crimes and injustices do not owe anyone grace or forgiveness — except themselves if they harbor internalized blame or shame.
