How Sunsets are a perfect reflection of this season’s energies

Watch the sunset. How does that make you feel? Does it make you feel big or tiny? Because there’s something good about feeling both. ~ Amy Grant

The colors of fall, the oranges, reds and yellows, these are the colors of passion and of life. They are also the colors of the fire that destroys the very forest which will soon rebirth itself again in the spring.

These colors align with the spiritual energies of harvesting, and of dying and, perhaps most important of all, of preparing soon to be metaphorically reborn yet again.

Embrace these colors as you embrace the energies of this season…

Find a spot with a clear western view and watch at least one entire sunset this season. Notice as the sky slowly begins to change colors, adding oranges, then reds and yellows and, if you are especially lucky, blues and purples will come to join in this brief and beautiful work of art. Witness the skies begin to darken as the sun dips down past the horizon.

Contemplate how this sunset can act as a mirror of things which are setting, closing, coming to an end in your own life?

Ask yourself in which ways you are denying something which needs to be let go of in your life.
